What's in a Name?

It's 58 days to your due date, little one, and your mummy still can't decide on a name for you. I just wish you could tell me what you think :p

Got a small list here, in no particular order:

I'll wait till we meet, little one, then I'll decide which name suits you best!

Slight panic

This morning, I woke up from a bad dream. I panicked because I couldn't feel you move!

I got up out of bed feeling rather numb and achy from being on my back for a long time (I'd apparently shifted position in my sleep), which isn't good because I'm not supposed to be lying on my back for a long period in my third trimester.

Well that certainly added to my panic, and what's more I tried patting my tummy and calling you, but you didn't give out the slightest movement! I wanted to wake your Papa up, but couldn't bring myself to do so because he looks so peaceful in his sleep..

So I immediately drank some milk, ate a chunk of chocolate (sugars usually make you move more, or so they say) and sat and waited.

And then... you shifted! I was SO relieved, Sayang!!
After that you continued wriggling and kicking for a couple of minutes and I felt a bit guilty for disturbing you in your sleep (maybe you were just sleeping after all and I panicked as a side effect of my bad dream las night?).

I'm glad you're okay, little one.
Still moving around a lot as usual, you probably can't wait to explore the world. But be patient, it's another two months to go, then we'll be able to see each other face to face, little one!

7 months!!

My Little one,

It's now already the 7th month of your stay in my belly!
How are you enjoying your stay, little one? Judging from your movements, you can't wait to get out and announce yourself to the world, huh?
Be patient, it's less than three months to go!

Everytime your Eyang Mama calls you kick and squirm, is it that you want to talk to her too? You're gonna be spoilt by your grandparents, I guess, being the first grandchild from both sides :)

Moving and shaking

My little one,

You're getting stronger and stronger every day. Your movements now shake my belly!
I can feel which side you're lying in, and a gentle pat will sometimes be reciprocated with a squirm, or even a punch!

Wonder what you're doing in there, Sayang....

I think you squirm because you can't wait to get out, for it's getting cramped in there as you get bigger. Don't worry my love, you'll be out in no time! And you can move every which way you want out here!

Can't wait to welcome you into this world!

My 20 week Ultrasound

This is my little one's profile, at 20 weeks.

Aint he the cutest!

He kept moving away, obviously didn't like being prodded around. Hey, who would?

I constantly pray for his health and well-being.

Now at 26 weeks his movements are stronger than ever! Maybe it's getting a bit cramped in there, he protests every time I bend over. He kicks every time his dad's hand is on my belly, probably wants to play? (or is he trying to say, "hey, this is MY territory!" hahaha)

He likes music, he moves around to the rhythm sometimes. And he prefers his music loud and upbeat!

From his current moves, I'd guess he'll be a good football player or rockstar! hehe

First Times..

This being my first pregnancy, leading to a lot of "firsts" for me.

(Currently, I am 25 weeks + 6 days pregnant, so according to the preggies cheat sheet, bubs would be around 35 cm and weighing about 700 grams!)

• First time I found out I was pregnant: 7 June 2007 (a day before the scheduled departure to Sydney!)
• First estimation of due date: 6 Feb 2007 (let's see if they got it right!)
• First time I had an ultrasound: also on 7 June 2007, you were just a tiny blob at the time (but still very cute!) ;)
• First time I saw my little one's face: (via ultrasound) 21 Sept 2007. You were lyin so low, the technician had to tilt the bed to get you moving! And you didn't seem to like being prodded around, which is understandable, I guess :)
• First time I felt my little one move: 4 Sept 2007 (you probably moved sooner, but I wasn't sure until then)
• First time your kicks can be felt by your Papa: late Sept 2007, you surprised us!
• First time your kicks can be seen from outside: from around mid October, your movements became so strong it moves my belly ;)

Prasaade

Why did I choose the name Prasaade for this blog?

Just google it, the meaning of prasaade is "on achievement of the causeless mercy of the Lord", and that is exactly what my little miracle means to me.
I couldn't possibly be experiencing this miracle without God's grace.

I wonder whether it would be a suitable name for my little one though..?
Well, just wait and see :)
